Got an HP machine with OEM version of Vista Ultimate 6.0.6000 Build 6000 with 2GB of RAM. The 320G hard drive was formatted into 12 NTFS logical drives. Have been trying to backup When the backup was restarted, it prompted for the last backup disk to be inserted but the program could not recognized the disk.

Migrating Outlook 2000 into Vista
My hardware is a home-built desktop with 512 MB of memory, a 40 GB hard drive, a floppy drive, a CD drive, a DVD drive, and a CPU running at 950 MHZ. The only glitch I experienced was that my (quite old) CD-ROM drive was not recognized. This, however, may have nothing to do with Vista.

Vista & External Hard Drive - Not Recognized
I have not been able to find a solution but I have found a pain in the ass workaround. I plug the drive into my XP machine where it is recognized and then connect it back to the Vista machine. Or by purchasing another external hard drive that is VISTA compatable? If Alex is correct, then it's not a question of "VISTA" compatibility, you would almost certainly have the same problem if you had XP loaded on the problem machine. Boot Requires Vista DVD
I also purchased an upgrade version of Vista for my own laptop. It installed OK, but several device drivers were not recognized, and wireless connectivity was just impossible to achieve. Looks like a minimum of 1GB of memory, 2GHZ of speed, and 100 GB of hard drive space are needed for decent performance.
